Archival history

The Education and Public Programs Department has the responsibility to research, the administration all of the education programs and the development of education policies. The Department has consisted of different units overtime such as:
School Programs, Adult Programs, Library, Intermedia, Studio and has also included Extensions at times.

All units work together to develop interpretative and educational programs related to the different exhibition, including the preparation of written educational material, the organization and supervision of tours, programs and special events, This Department also recruits, trains and supervises all volunteers and instructors for exhibition tours and studio programs.

The Department works closely with Curatorial in developing and preparing education material that has relevance to the public. Additionally, the Department liaises with outside organizations and institutions from the community, encouraging better communication between the public and the Gallery.
