The collection consists of letters, diaries, family photographs dating from the 1880s, business papers and other memorabilia pertaining to the Brigden family and the Brigden graphic arts firm. Items include letters from a number of important Canadian artists. Also described here is memorabilia concerning the Rev. Thomas Brigden and Kingswood School; Cornelius Fielder; and the Winnipeg Community Players.
The Winnipeg Art Gallery
Fonds consists of two documents. The first is a transcript of a taped interview of Charles Comfort by Charles Hill dating from 1960. The second document consists of excerpts from Charles Comfort’s address as President of the Royal Academy of Arts at the Winnipeg Art Gallery in 1973.
The materials described here date from ca. 1930 to 1978. Items include internal WAG correspondence; WAG ephemera; lectures and essays; her father's personal papers; MA and PhD theses; and newspaper and magazine clippings related to art, art history, Jewish art and history, education, and book reviews of women writers. Interspaced throughout the items in the donation are small post-it notes provided by Dr. Lander's daughter.
As no formal organization was apparent in the materials described here, based on the contents of the donation and notes provided by Dr. Lander’s daughter, the items were arranged according to the order in which they were received. Loose items have been filed according to topic. The files are arranged under a single series. Materials were arranged largely in the order in which they were received.

Logistics Committee and its successors; the records of Catalogues and Publications; the records of Conservation Services; the records of Curators and Associate Curators, records of the Curator in Residence Program; the records of the Curatorial Units. The records of Exhibits which include the creation of associated catalogues; the records of Extension Services; records of Gallery Registration. Other records relating to Curatorial/Exhibitions as may be selected for permanent preservation.
The Winnipeg Art Gallery
Consists of correspondence and records concerning the planning of exhibitions, public programming, special events, Grants and capital campaigns. Records of long-range strategic planning and final reports are included, as well as some records of the various arts/museum organizations with which Directors have been involved.
Consists of various programming records of the WAG such as exhibition tours, various meetings within each unit, research and coordination between this department and other departments.
Contains records created by Eckhardt as Director of the Art Gallery. It also contains photos, personal items and correspondence, newspaper clippings, lectures, and administration records.
