The Marketing and Communications Department of the Winnipeg Art Gallery was formally established in 1979. (There was a Public Information Officer as early as 1973.) The department has responsibility for communications and strategic marketing activities of the Gallery and for revenue development. The department, through its Manager, reports to the Gallery Director.
